Today is world kindness day and I have so many kind understanding people in my life also I like to think I'm pretty kind to others "at least I hope I am"... One thing I noticed about people at the studio is they are not very kind to themselves they call themselves fat, unfit and say they can't quite frequently.

How they perceive themselves is sad, but in all honesty we all have those day of feeling not so great about ourselves, maybe all we need is a simple reminder to help those feelings?

One of our sweet uplifting instructors ends her class every time with a self pep talk and although a little cheesy I absolutely love it and think we really need more of this in our life's

I am hard working.

So Kelly and I had a TRX and a leadership training this past weekend at the Y and it made me think of just how unique of a gym we are.

In the leadership training she was telling us things not to do in class and I was thinking oh no! She had me questioning myself as a leader, instructor, coach. This lady had me thinking what I love to do and what I am so passionate about maybe wasn't for me?! But Kelly reminded me to keep doing what I'm doing that you all love me for the crazy weird person I am. We are a unique gym, yes I probably shouldn't talk about random things as much or about my LOVE of doughnuts but that's what makes me, me. We are not a corporate facility we are Lake Side Fit a family that care about each other. A family of friends that like to know how your day has been or what recipe you might try for dinner.

Tell me about your kids and how they did in sports or what you're plans are for the holidays, I don't only care about your weight or if you're loosing any I care about you. Be Bright, Be Bold, Be YOU that is us at Lake Side Fit we don't fit into your typical fitness facility box we are unique we get healthy and fit with lots of fun. 💚

We all have those day when things don't go as planned, this was posted by a friend yesterday and it got me thinking...


"I got in my car with a bad attitude today. “It’s only Wednesday.”


I got in my car unenthused about the day.

“I can’t wait until it’s over.”


I got in my car wishing I could go back to bed.

“It’s too early, I’m tired.”


As I was driving I knew I was thinking wrong.


I was setting myself up for disaster.


I got to my destination and saw snowflakes falling on my windshield- it brought a smile to my face.


God’s way of telling me to be positive.


As many of you know, I love winter and snow.


I got out of my car with a better attitude.

“Today’s Wednesday, half way through the week already.”


I got out of my car thanking God for another day.


I got out of my car embracing the fresh air.


I got out of my car loving today, excited for the day and ready to get my work done.

Today was one of those day I woke up feeling ready but things happen that weren't planned and I could have let it ruin my whole day but it was Gods plan. I feel proud that I could figure out how to improvise the problem.

Life is full of many tests and it's all about how you take it you could let the simplest thing take control of your whole mood or you can be optimistic and think of all the Good in life, and thank God for all he dose.
